Flylino is a small, free hobby service run by a private person in the Netherlands. This page explains what is stored and why.

What is stored

Why

Only to run the service: to let you sign in, show your crew's flights and share them with the people you invite. No data is sold, and there are no ads, tracking or analytics cookies.

Who can see it

Only the members of a crew can see that crew's travelers, pictures and flights. Data is stored with Google Firebase in the EU (Netherlands), under Google's data processing terms.

Leaderboard: registered crews appear on the "All crews" leaderboard that other signed-in users can see. It shows the crew name, total distance, flights, countries and number of people, and the travelers' first names and their totals. The crew owner can hide first names in Settings. Pictures and flight details are never shown there. Guests don't appear on the leaderboard.

Your scorecard: when your account is linked to a traveler, your first name and your totals (distance, flights and the countries you've been to) are saved as a scorecard, so every crew you're in can compare. Your trips themselves stay in their own crew. A scorecard can only be opened with your account ID, which only members of your crews know.

Destination photos: when you add a trip, our server asks a photo library (Unsplash) for photos of the destination city. Only the city and country name are sent, never your name, email or trips. The photo you choose is shown from the library's servers, which see your IP address when your browser loads the image. If you upload your own trip photo instead, a small copy is stored with the trip and only people in your crew can see it.

How long

Until you delete it. You can delete flights, crews you own, or your whole account at any time in Settings. Deleted data disappears from backups within 7 days.

Your rights

You can download your data (Account → Download data), correct it in the app, or delete it. For any other request, or to complain, email hello@flylino.com. You can also contact the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Children

Accounts are for people aged 16 and over. Parents can add children as travelers in their own crew.
